# Collaboration

> Share workflows with Profiles

Profiles package reusable configuration, hooks, and commands. Teams distribute profiles via providers (git repositories or local folders) and install them per workspace.

## Quick Start

```bash theme={null}
# Register a provider
codanna profile provider add bartolli/codanna-profiles
# List available profiles
codanna profile list --verbose
# Install to current workspace
codanna profile install claude
# Check status
codanna profile status
```

## Providers

Sources of profiles:

| Type | Example |
| - | - |
| GitHub shorthand | `bartolli/codanna-profiles` |
| Git URL | `https://github.com/org/profiles.git` |
| Local path | `./my-profiles` |

```bash theme={null}
# Add provider
codanna profile provider add bartolli/codanna-profiles
# List providers
codanna profile provider list --verbose
# Remove provider
codanna profile provider remove codanna-profiles
```

## Managing Profiles

```bash theme={null}
# Install
codanna profile install claude
# Update
codanna profile update claude
# Remove
codanna profile remove claude
# Verify integrity
codanna profile verify claude
```

## Team Sync

Commit `.codanna/profiles.lock.json` to your repository. Teammates run:

```bash theme={null}
codanna profile sync
```

This installs all profiles from the lockfile.

## Storage

| Location | Purpose |
| - | - |
| `~/.codanna/providers.json` | Global provider registry |
| `~/.codanna/profiles/` | Cached provider clones |
| `.codanna/profiles.lock.json` | Installed profiles for workspace |
